Thomas Peta

Mar 12, 2018

Thomas Peta, age 82, passed away March 7, 2018, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua, NH. He was surrounded by his children and his beloved wife of 54 years.

He was born on May 4, 1935, in Vena di Maida in the Province of Catanzaro, Italy to Francesco and Concetta Peta. He was predeceased by his younger sister Anna, whom he adored.

He spent the first 25 years of his life in Italy where worked on the family farm and served in the military. In his hometown of Vena, he met his childhood love and soul mate Anna Maria. They married on December 8, 1963. Together, they raised four children, Connie, Cathy, Ann Marie, and Frank. Thomas lived for his family and he and his wife dedicated their lives for the betterment of their children and grandchildren, David, Samantha, Jessica, Edward, Jordan, and Hailee. He is also survived by his loving sister Elizabeth and his brother Andrew.

They lived humbly and self-sacrificing; with Tom working several jobs in order for Anna to stay home and raise their children. He always stressed the importance of family and living life honestly, loyally and with great integrity. He honored and cherished the church and lived by the word of God. A truly kind and friendly soul whose smile could comfort even the most distressed. He was always quick to associate his story with yours so you never felt alone. You always knew you were welcome at his table to share memories, good food and maybe even a glass of wine.

With an empty place at the table and a hole in our hearts, we will carry on without him. May his tired body rest in peace and may we all remember his words La Familia Di Tutto ~ Family is everything.
