Theresa E. Coutermarsh

Theresa Elsie (Coulombe) Coutermarsh, 85, of Nashua, wife of Leo H. Coutermarsh, passed away peacefully, surrounded by many of her children and her beloved husband at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH on Thursday, March 8, 2018.

Born in Nashua, NH, Theresa was the daughter of the late Joseph Coulombe and Jeanette (Martin) Coulombe Cloutier. Educated in Nashua schools, Theresa also received a cap as a Nurse’s Aide at Memorial Hospital. She was a waitress at the former Green Ridge Turkey Farm Restaurant for 30 years and later worked as a manager at McDonald’s in South Nashua.

Theresa taught CCD at St. Patrick Church and was a longtime member and Past President (1993-1994) of the Nashua Emblem Club #170 and a member of RSVP.

Members of Theresa’s family include her husband of 67 years, Leo H. Coutermarsh; her sons, Richard Coutermarsh and his wife Karen of Brookline, NH, Randall Coutermarsh and his wife Renee of Buford, GA and Lawrence Coutermarsh and his wife Reba of North Pole, Alaska; her daughters, Sandra Schnell and her husband Alan of Gadsden, Alabama, Cathy Fortin and her husband Brian of Hudson, MA and Karen Fahel and her husband Leigh of Manchester, NH; 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 godchildren; her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Elizabeth Coulombe of Nashua; also many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was predeceased by a son, Peter Coutermarsh; and a sister, Doris Crooker.

Theresa will be remembered as fun, caring, loving and generous by all of her family and friends; always up for a lunch date or bargain shopping excursion. She will be a sorely missed mom and grandma/memere.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Wednesday, March 14th from 1:00 to 3:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Officers and Members of the Nashua Emblem Club will conduct a service, Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home, Thursday morning at 10 a.m. followed by interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.
