Joan Malloy

Joan Malloy, 73 of Hollis, NH died Thursday March 8, 2018 at Southern NH Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Joan was born April 28, 1944 in Medway, MA she was the daughter of the late Walter and Irene (Brennon) Malloy. She lived there her entire childhood with her 5 sisters. Judy Benton, Kathy Malloy, Irene Malloy, Connie Montanaro, and Nancy Maglaras and their families were all very close sisters and friends her entire life. She was also predeceased by her former husband, Warren Sanders.

Joan graduated Medway High school in 1962 and later graduated Hickox Secretarial School and John Robert Powers Finishing School. Prior to retirement, Joan had worked as a secretary, but her passion was being a homemaker and mother to her two boys. Joan was a devout Catholic and prior to her illness she attended Parish of the Resurrection.

Joan’s endless love and devotion was to her family and community. She volunteered for the Hollis Elementary School and for the Cub Scout Pack 12. She was a past president of the Hollis Community and a true cornerstone among the neighborhood. Later in life, her artwork became a great expression of love and peace with those she loved the most.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory W. Sanders and his wife Regina (Palermo), of Candia, NH and Douglas Malloy Sanders and his wife Madeline (Walsh), of Telluride, CO; three grandchildren, Michelle M. Sanders, Bridget J. Sanders, and Andrew G. Sanders, all of Candia, NH; five sisters,

SERVICES: Private visitation, services and burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway, MA will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
