Timothy L. Lamper

Timothy L. Lamper, 55, died at home on March 4, 2018 in the presence of his family. He fought a courageous battle with ALS, which he was diagnosed with in May 2017.

Born in Manchester, NH on January 3, 1963, the son of Leon G. and Marjorie E. (Burnham) Lamper.

A graduate of Manchester Memorial High School class of 1982, Timothy then served his country in the United States Marine Corps, STA Platoon 1st Battalion 2nd Marine Division, from 1982 – 1986 obtaining the meritorious rank of Corporal. Later, he also served in the United States Army Reserve Corps of Engineers.

Tim worked for the Town of Hudson, NH Department of Public Works Street Division from 1986 to 2014 when he retired – disabled. He held several positions, including Truck Driver/Laborer, Foreman and Traffic and Light Technician. Tim was also a volunteer firefighter/first responder on the Litchfield, NH Fire Department for 5 years.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman, hunter and firearms enthusiast, belonging to the Pointers Fish and Game club, and the Londonderry Fish and Game club. He enjoyed hunting with family and friends. Tim’s greatest joy was spending time with his son Liam, playing video games and nerf battles, as well as camping with his son’s Cub Scout Pack 106. He also studied several disciplines of martial arts. Tim was an enthusiastic supporter of the USMC Toys for Tots organization.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Christina Plichta Lamper of Manchester, and his son Liam James. He leaves behind a brother, Paul Beetz and his wife Nancy of VT, and sister-in-law Ann Lamper of Hudson, NH, and numerous cousins. He was much loved by wife’s parents, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by daughter, Amanda Grace Lamper; his parents; and his three brothers, Arnold Lamper, Edward Lamper and Raymond Lamper.

Services: Calling hours will be on Sunday, March 11 from 4-7 PM at Goodwin Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 607 Chestnut Street, Manchester, NH 03104. A celebration of Tim’s life will be on Monday, March 12 at 10:00 am at Manchester Christian Church, 1308 Wellington Road, Manchester, NH 03104. Interment will be private at a later date.
