Gary B. Huske

Gary B. Huske, age 70, a former Valders resident, died of natural causes Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his residence in Appleton.

He was born May 18, 1947 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, son of the late John and Elmira (Christianson) Huske. He attended Valders High School, graduating with the class of 1965. Following high school, Gary attended University of Wisconsin – Whitewater where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Gary moved to Washington D.C. where he worked with both the Secret Service and CIA until 1980. He married Linda Koenig of rural Valders, on September 4, 1982 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin and moved to Nashua, New Hampshire, where he raised two sons. Gary was then employed as a contract administrator with Sanders Associates until 1990, then with the Bechtel Corporation where he worked on the Central Artery Project in Boston and in various locations abroad such as Kuwait, Iraq, British Columbia, Ukraine, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Upon retiring in 2015, he moved to Wisconsin to spend time with his family. He enjoyed skiing, traveling, reading and above all loved his sons Brannen and Adam.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years: Linda Koenig-Huske, Nashua, New Hampshire; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Brannen (Viktoryia) Huske, Nashua, New Hampshire, and Adam Huske, Brookline, Massachusetts; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne (Terry) Huske, Whitelaw, Charles (Deby Peace) Huske, Menasha, and John (Karen) Huske, Whitelaw; one sister and brother-in-law: Karen Huske (John Seidl), Brown Deer; and two brothers-in-law: Donald Salmon and Charles Olson. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He is preceded in death by his parents: John and Elmira (Christianson) Huske; and three sisters: Joyce Salmon, Barbara Olson, and Janice Huske.

Funeral Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday morning, December 22, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Officiating at the service was Pastor Ted Johanson. Burial took place at Valders West Cemetery.

The visitation was held for relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders.
