Barbara Ellen Lambert
NASHUA – Barbara Ellen Lambert, 54, died May 5th. Born July 2, 1961 in Hornell, NY, she grew up in Corning, NY, and lived in Washington state as well as New York City, prior to settling in Nashua, where she resided for the last three decades. Barbara was the proud mother of two daughters, a loving sister to eight siblings, a devoted daughter and beloved friend of many. She had a lively, vibrant spirit and a trustful, caring soul.
Barbara was a 1979 alumna of West High School in Painted Post, NY, where she had prominent roles in the musicals "Little Me," "Kiss me, Kate" and "Irene." She graduated from Rivier College in Nashua in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts.
While living in New York City, Barbara was a member of the Community Free Theatre and Two-Bit Players, where she acted in "When You Coming Back, Red Ryder?," and also directed "The Shooting Gallery."
After moving to New Hampshire, Barbara became an educator, and taught family and consumer science at Nashua High School South. While teaching there, she was involved in the annual school musicals "The Sound of Music" and "South Pacific" and produced "Fiddler on the Roof." In addition to theater, Barbara enjoyed art, music, cooking for friends and family, laughing and meeting new people. She always looked out for others first.
Barbara is predeceased by her father, James L. Brown; her brothers Thomas R., Daniel J. and Christopher M. Brown; and her sister-in-law Judith Brown.
She is survived by her two daughters, Allison Lambert and her husband Christopher Egner of Lebanon, NH, and Jennifer Lambert and her boyfriend Pierce Smith of Arlington, MA; her mother Alice (Coffey) Brown of Elmira, NY; her sister Maureen A. Brown of Delmar, NY; her brothers Michael G. Brown of Pittsburgh, PA; James L. Brown Jr., of Austin, TX; Patrick J. Brown of Burnet, TX; and Timothy R. Brown of Waverly, NY; her nephew Kevin Worden and his wife Kristin, with daughters Helen and Maria of Burlington, VT; her niece Sara Worden of Trumansburg, NY; her aunts and uncles, Janet Brown of Vestal, NY; Gerald T. Coffey, Joseph M. Coffey and his wife Margaret, all of Binghamton, NY; and several cousins.
Arrangements – Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, May 15th, from 12-3:00 p.m. at the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH. There will also be calling hours held Sunday, June 11th, from 12- 2:30 p.m. at the McInerny Funeral Home, 502 West Water St., Elmira, NY. Private burial service will take place at a later date.
