Barbara Ellen Lambert

NASHUA – Barbara El­len Lambert, 54, died May 5th. Born July 2, 1961 in Hornell, NY, she grew up in Corning, NY, and lived in Washing­ton state as well as New York City, prior to settling in Nashua, where she resided for the last three decades. Bar­bara was the proud mother of two daughters, a loving sister to eight siblings, a de­voted daughter and beloved friend of many. She had a lively, vibrant spirit and a trustful, caring soul.

Barbara was a 1979 alum­na of West High School in Painted Post, NY, where she had prominent roles in the musicals "Little Me," "Kiss me, Kate" and "Irene." She graduated from Rivier Col­lege in Nashua in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts.

While living in New York City, Barbara was a mem­ber of the Community Free Theatre and Two-Bit Play­ers, where she acted in "When You Coming Back, Red Ryder?," and also di­rected "The Shooting Gal­lery."

After moving to New Hampshire, Barbara be­came an educator, and taught family and consum­er science at Nashua High School South. While teach­ing there, she was involved in the annual school musi­cals "The Sound of Music" and "South Pacific" and produced "Fiddler on the Roof." In addition to theater, Barbara enjoyed art, mu­sic, cooking for friends and family, laughing and meet­ing new people. She always looked out for others first.

Barbara is predeceased by her father, James L. Brown; her brothers Thom­as R., Daniel J. and Chris­topher M. Brown; and her sister-in-law Judith Brown.

She is survived by her two daughters, Allison Lam­bert and her hus­band Christopher Egner of Lebanon, NH, and Jennifer Lambert and her boyfriend Pierce Smith of Arlington, MA; her mother Al­ice (Coffey) Brown of Elmira, NY; her sister Maureen A. Brown of Delmar, NY; her brothers Michael G. Brown of Pittsburgh, PA; James L. Brown Jr., of Austin, TX; Patrick J. Brown of Burnet, TX; and Timothy R. Brown of Waverly, NY; her nephew Kevin Worden and his wife Kristin, with daughters Helen and Maria of Burl­ington, VT; her niece Sara Worden of Trumansburg, NY; her aunts and uncles, Janet Brown of Vestal, NY; Gerald T. Coffey, Joseph M. Coffey and his wife Marga­ret, all of Binghamton, NY; and several cousins.

Arrangements – Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, May 15th, from 12-3:00 p.m. at the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home, 21 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH. There will also be calling hours held Sunday, June 11th, from 12- 2:30 p.m. at the McInerny Funeral Home, 502 West Water St., Elmira, NY. Pri­vate burial service will take place at a later date.
