Doris (Bois) St. Pierre
Doris (Bois) St. Pierre, 80, lifelong resident of Nashua, passed away on January 14, 2016, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, after a brief illness.
She was born on August 26, 1935 in Nashua, NH, a daughter of the late Alfred and Lena (Ledoux) Bois. She was a graduate of Nashua High School.
Doris served in the U.S. Air Force from 1954 to 1955, and received an honorable discharge for her service.
Mrs. St. Pierre enjoyed living in Nashua, where she could walk and take the transit system to all the places she’d known her whole life. She also enjoyed attending theatre performances of all kinds, traveling, playing cards with friends, strolling the beaches of Hampton, NH and Wells, Maine, and spending time with her family. She was a parishioner of St. John XXIII Parish at Infant Jesus Church in Nashua and served on the bereavement committee after her husband passed away.
Doris was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years, Roger St. Pierre in 2007; a brother, Rene Bois; and three sisters Lucille Levesque, Irene Boucher and Gertrude Michaud.
Surviving members of her family include a son, Daniel St. Pierre and his wife Bonnie of Merrimack; two daughters, Deborah Cossette and her partner Robert Pouliot of Hudson and Gail Duval and her husband Gerard of Nashua; four grandchildren, Amy Velez, Stacy Bates, Christopher Shattuck and James Cossette, Jr; two great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Adam Velez; two sisters, Florence Collins of Hudson and Pauline Madigan and her husband John of Nashua; along with many nieces and nephews.
At the family’s request, there are no calling hours. A memorial mass will be held at St. John XXIII Parish at Infant Jesus Church, 121 Allds St., Nashua on Saturday, January 23rd at 10 AM. A private burial will be held at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Cemetery in Boscawen with military honors at a later date.
