Marjorie Lessor

Marjorie Lessor, 91 of Boscawen, NH and formerly of Grantham, NH and a longtime resident of Merrimack, NH, died Jan. 10, 2016 at Concord Hospital after a period of declining health.

She was born in Saugus, MA on Sept. 8, 1924, a daughter of the late James and Eleanor (Freeman) Farrar.

Marjorie was a resident of Merrimack for 49 years, where she and her husband were charter members of St. James United Methodist Church in Merrimack.

She and her husband built nine homes on Hillside Terrace, where they lived for 38 years, operated a "pick your own" raspberry and blueberry business and a seat weaving business.

Before retirement, she was employed as a postal clerk at the Merrimack Post Office for many years.

In 1999, Marjorie and Bob relocated to Grantham, NH.

Marjorie loved her family most of all and her little dog, Holly. She was a kind and generous person with a big smile and many friends.

She is the widow of Robert Lessor, who died in 2004, and is predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Lindahl.

Members of her family include three daughters, Linda and Phil St. Onge of Newbury, NH, Donna and Douglas Kane of Hebron, NH and Debra Lessor of Grantham; three grandsons, Darryl Kane and Dawn Adolfsson of Belmont, NH, Devin and Jennifer Kane of Belmont, NH and Dana and Inten Lindahl of Bali, Indonesia; a brother Robert Farrar of Bedford, NH; and a sister Frances Stickney of Peterborough, NH; and three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours. The funeral service will be held in St. James United Methodist Church, 646 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, Wednesday Jan. 13, 2016 at 11:00 am. followed by a burial at the Last Rest Cemetery.
