Robert Joseph St.Onge Sr.

Robert Joseph St.Onge, Sr., 70 of Nashua, NH died Friday, May 1, 2015 at his home in Nashua.

He was born June 3, 1944 in Nashua, son of the late Roland (Conney) St. Onge and Eva (Landry) St.Onge.

He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Anita McLaughlin, in 2002; a sister, Gail; a stepbrother, Roger St.Onge; and two aunts, Yvonne Poitras and Cecile Fulop. Robert was the husband of Ludmilla (Gorina) St.Onge of Nashua, whom he married on August 19, 2003 and celebrated almost 12 years of marriage with.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served his country from 1965-1967. Robert was employed for over 28 years with Nashua Corporation in Nashua, as well as becoming a maintenance worker for Lovering Volvo for 2 years, and later worked for St. Joseph Hospital for 10 years until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed gambling, and going to Foxwoods, as well as going to play Meat Bingo. He enjoyed riding his scooter and was a lifetime member of the Club National.

Besides his wife Ludmilla, survivors include his son, Robert ( Bobby ) St. Onge, Jr., and his wife Patricia of Nashua, NH; a daughter, Renee McLaughlin and her significant other Don Fournier of Nashua, NH and her former husband, Bill McLaughlin; as well as his former wife Claudette Bergeron, mother of his children. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Samantha St. Onge, Hunter and Logan St. Onge, Corina McLaughlin and Cathryna McLaughlin; and two stepchildren, Paul and Olga.

He is also survived by two sisters, Carol Adams of Nashua, NH, and Joan St. Onge of Milford, NH; two brothers and their spouses, Russ and Sue St.Onge of Nashua, NH, Richard and Jane St. Onge of Canaan, NH; and a stepbrother, Roland St.Onge of Salt Lake, Utah; as well as several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 5:00-8:00PM at the Davis Funeral Home, One Lock Street, Nashua, NH 03064. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St., Nashua held at Wednesday morning May 6, 2015 at 10:00AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may meet at the funeral home at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 101 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s loving memory to: American Heart Association, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005 or to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
