David Mack
David B. Mack, age 53 of Nashua, New Hampshire, and formerly of Batesville, Indiana, died Saturday, January 24, 2015 in Nashua. Born June 24, 1961 in Batesville, he is the son of Mary “Bernardine” (Nee: Haunert) and James Mack. He was the Materials Supervisor and Purchasing Agent for Cambridge Tool. He held the same position with the Batesville Casket Company in Nashua for over twenty years prior to the plant’s closing and most recently worked at Lowes South in Nashua. He was a devout member of St. Christopher’s Church.
David loved being outdoors and the mountains of New England provided him the perfect playground for many of his hobbies. An avid and accomplished skier, he skied the difficult black diamond runs exclusively. He also had a passion for hiking and mountain biking, which he shared with his family. They enjoyed swimming in the ocean at the Cape Cod as well. A devoted father, this was quality time he cherished. Syrup runs and picking blueberries were other favorite activities. Although a Purdue grad and Boilermaker alum, he became an avid Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics fan.
Music from his teens, referred to now as classic rock, is what he listened to. Kiss was one of his favorite groups, which may have been the inspiration for becoming a bass player in a local band during his high school days. David liked good seafood and although an excellent cook in his own right, it was a simple casserole from his childhood he enjoyed sharing with family and friends. His family joked about the time he disappeared at the age of five. Nowhere to be found, it was all hands on deck as the house and neighborhood was scoured. David would eventually be found fast asleep in the dog house out back.
David is predeceased by Ellen Brine Mack, the mother of Will Mack and Amy and Justine Brine.
He is survived by his sons, Will Mack and Justin Brine, both of Nashua; daughter, Amy Brine, of Milford, New Hampshire; parents, Bernardine and Jim Mack, of Batesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Michael Trenkamp, of Enochsburg, Indiana, Anne and Gary Schebler, of Batesville, Margaret Mack, of Madison, Indiana, Susan Mack of Warsaw, Indiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph, of Greensburg, Indiana, Peter and Deborah Mack, of Batesville, Thomas and Mary Mack, of Lafayette, Indiana, Timothy and Deborah Mack, of Greensburg, Indiana, William and Anya Mack, of Alliance, Ohio; his aunt, Carol Haunert, of San Francisco, California, as well as his grandchildren, Scott and Ashley, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
