Patricia A. Blanchard

Patricia Ann Blanchard, 76, of Hudson, wife of Kenneth Blanchard, passed away on Thursday morning, October 2, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on December 22, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Adeline (Martel) Kalil.

“Pat” was a beautiful person, inside and out who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. With her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Blanchard, she raised four children while running a rental investment company in New Hampshire. Pat had the most precious smile, an infectious charm and she truly lived her life to the fullest, enjoying playing slots, scratch cards, exploring new ice cream stands and spending time with her family.

Her family always came first and there was never a time that she didn’t have time for them.

They all returned that same love and devotion to her and she was surrounded by all her children, grandchildren, and countless friends, still smiling and charming everyone around her throughout her illness.

Pat was a gifted artist and played the piano beautifully. Winter months were spent with friends in
Leesburg, Florida.

She is survived by her husband. Kenneth; her four children, Susan Smart and her husband Rick, Kevin Blanchard and his wife Cindy, Tod Blanchard and his wife Lynn, and Michelle Taylor and her husband James; eight grandchildren, Katrina, Kyle, Adam, Susan, Trevor, Kristine, Cody and Kasey Blanchard; a sister, Joan Dearborn (widow of Grant Dearborn) of Hudson; a brother, Charles Kalil Jr. and his wife Brenda of Bartlett, NH; her extended family members, Denis, Jana, Kaitlyn and Izabela Coughlin; also nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Hudson. Friends are invited to attend.
