Sep 17, 2014

(1960-2014)

Linda Ann (Duda) Crouch passed away peacefully in her home on August 25, 2014. Linda was 54 years old and resided in Houston, Texas with her husband, Bill and Sheltie, Bella (affectionately nicknamed “skunk” by Linda). After staging a courageous 16-month war with brain cancer, Linda was never one to shy away from a challenge and taught those who knew her what “courage” truly looked like and having compassion for others. She was a fighter and had Polish grit, passion and a focused purpose with quick wit and humor. Linda was born in Groton, Massachusetts on June 29, 1960 and spent her childhood in Pepperell, Massachusetts. She attended and graduated from North Middlesex Regional High School and Magna Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell with her B.S. Degree in Health Education. Linda went on to work for Matthew Thornton, Wang Laboratories and eventually Cigna, where she most recently held the position of Client Engagement Manager.

Linda was born June 29,1960 in Pepperell, MA the daughter of Thaddeus (Ted) Duda and Eleanor Jane Duda. She is survived by a brother Edward Duda of Merriam, KS and sisters Andrea Duda of Nashua, NH and Valerie Duda of Pepperell, MA also by three nieces, Alaina, Elizabeth and Jessica Chalmers and a nephew Justen Gardner. She is pre-deceased by her mother Eleanor Jane Duda and brother Anthony (Tony) Duda. Linda had a huge zest for life coupled with a huge, giving heart. She adored her mother and father and was a terrific wife and step-mother to Bill, Kendall and their dog Bella. Linda had many friends and loved her family. Our beloved Linda will be missed greatly by many.

She loved to travel and one of her favorite destinations were Hawaii and Italy. Linda was very generous and active in charitable events and donated her time to Boys and Girls Club, MS150, March of Dimes and Impact to Hero’s to name a few. She enjoyed raising money for “good” causes to help and support others.

In lieu of flowers, the family request you can donate to the Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation benefit brain cancer research at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and brain cancer research as well as pediatric initiatives at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, TX – http://drmarnierose.org or mailing address is: Dr. Marnie Rose Foundation, 5300 N. Braeswood Blvd., #4-350, Houston, TX 77096.
