John (Jack) Paul Dakai

(Jack) John Paul Dakai, 66, formerly of Ashland MA, died Thursday, July 29, 2014 at his home in Safety Harbor Florida. He is survived by his former wife Joan Dakai of Myrtle Beach SC, son Tim Dakai and his granddaughter Tristan Dakai who reside in Houston TX; siblings, Steven Dakai & wife Christine of CT; Barbara Huseby-Pilgreen & husband Herb of WA; Kathryn Dakai of Oxford; Margaret Morreale & husband Michael of Hudson; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He is pre-deceased by his brothers Kenneth Dakai and Michael Dakai.

Jack was born in Framingham Massachusetts to the late John & Blanche (Montville) Dakai. Jack served in the United States Marines beginning in 1966 during the Vietnam War. He was a resident of Nashua NH for many years and was best known as a hard working contractor and dedicated hockey coach to so many. He lived in the Houston area for several years and finally retired to the Clearwater area in Florida. He surpassed every expectation of his abilities and passed his knowledge to everyone he met. He was a loved father, grandfather, friend and coach to us all. He will be greatly missed and loved.
