Ann J. Blazejewski

Jun 11, 2014

Ann J. Blazejewski, 95, of Nashua, widow of Charles J. Blazejewski, died at her home Monday evening, June 9, 2014.

Mrs. Blazejewski was born in Brooklyn, New York on July 18, 1918, a daughter of the late Stephen and Marie (Butler) Kish. Ann was a kind and loving person who lost her parents at a young age and grew up through the Great Depression. Her life was brightened when she met and married her husband, Charles. They shared 33 years of wedded bliss and made their home in Marlborough, MA, raising their three children before moving to New Hampshire in 1973.

As a young couple, Ann and Charles were fans of the Brooklyn Dodgers and saw many games at Ebbets Field. In her later years, Ann would return to the love of baseball as an ardent fan of the Red Sox. Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed gardening, sewing, knitting and the Red Sox. But her favorite times were family times.

Ann was predeceased by her husband, who died in August 1974; her sister, Rose Sciarrone; and her brother, Stephen Kish.

Members of her family include her a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Richard Araujo of Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles A. and Josephine Blazejewski of Massachusetts; and daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Peter Kilday of Nashua, with whom she made her home for 41 years; six grandchildren, Stephen Araujo, Debra (Araujo) Britton, Greg Blazejewski, Mark Blazejewski, Jennifer (Kilday) Neveu and Brian Kilday; five great-granddaughters, Ashley, Lucy, Rosalie, Emma and Katrina; also nieces and nephews, including a special niece and her husband, Joanne and Frank Borysevicz of Connecticut; and Jack, the family dog, who was her constant companion.

Calling hours will be held at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, Friday morning at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Londonderry, NH.
