Jan 24, 2014

Rita A. (Rioux) Noiseux, 88, formerly of Pike St., Nashua passed away on Monday January 20, 2014 at the Hunt Community surrounded by her family.

Rita was born in Nashua on April 30, 1925, a daughter of the late Clement and Modeste (St. Laurent) Rioux. She was the widow of Gerard Noiseux, who passed away on June 22, 2008. They had shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Known for always holding hands, they treasured going to the ocean every winter in Ft. Lauderdale, FL where they took long walks on the beach.

Rita had been a lifelong resident of Nashua. She always took pride in her home and was an excellent homemaker. It was not unusual for her to ‘whip up’ delicious meals for family and friends. All were welcome. Her children and grandchildren have fond memories of her sweet voice in song. At one time, Rita had been employed by Sanders Associates and the Canteen Corporation. She was a communicant of St. Louis de Gonzague Church. Rita was predeceased by her only brother, Normand Rioux, a Marine serving in WWII, in 1943.

Rita is survived by one daughter, Theresa Y. Smith and Roger L. Turner of Hudson; two sons, Normand Noiseux and his wife Linda of Nashua and Marc Noiseux and his wife Debbie of Merrimack; ten grandchildren who affectionately called her ‘Granny,’ Christine Doyle, Rick White, Shannon Smith, Cory Smith, Lynda Noiseux, Brenda Noiseux, Sarah Noiseux, Rachel Noiseux, Naomi Noiseux and Dena Noiseux; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Sr. Therese Rioux, csc of Manchester.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Hunt Community for taking such good care of Rita.
