Cynthia M. (Trottier) Denya

Cynthia M. (Trottier) Denya, 54, of 61 Puritan Road, Bristol, CT died in her home, Wednesday May 29, 2013 surrounded by her family after a short illness.

Ms. Denya was born in Nashua, NH on June 8, 1958, a daughter of Therese (Turcotte) Trottier of Nashua and the late Leon H. Trottier. Raised in Nashua, she attended local schools and graduated from Nashua High School in 1976. Ms. Denya graduated from Southern NH University with a degree in Business and Distributive Teacher Education and graduated from Eastern CT State University in 2008 with a Bachelor in Accounting.

Ms. Denya was self-employed for most of her life and after recently passing the Certified Public Accountants exam, was working towards her license. She was currently employed with Chicoski, Skelly & Co. LLP in Waterbury CT. Ms. Denya was an avid quilter and enjoyed volunteering for special projects for the church groups including the Haitian Baby Diapers and Mat projects. Ms. Denya was a member of the Lion’s Club and St. Bridget’s Ladies Guild in East Haddam, CT as well as a member of the Lion’s Club in Bristol, CT. She was also a member of the CT Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Besides her mother, Ms. Denya is survived by a son, Paul Denya and his wife, Caroline of Pleasant Hill, CA; a daughter, Kimberly Bermani and her husband Anthony, of Windsor, CT; a sister; Patricia Robitaille and her husband Charles of Bedford, NH; brothers Robert Trottier and his wife Denise of Chester NH and Richard Trottier of Derry, NH; and a sister-in-law Louise Trottier of Nashua NH. Ms. Denya also leaves her four beautiful grandchildren, Jack, Madelyn, Gabriel and Tristan; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her father, Ms. Denya is also predeceased by a brother, Leon R. Trottier.

Calling hours for Cynthia M. Denya on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville/Bristol have been changed to 3:00 to 5:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 3, 2013 at 10 am directly at St. Ann Church, 180 Laurel Street, Bristol, CT.
