Arnold W. Wallace

Arnold W. Wallace, 90 died at 9:45pm on December 8, 2012 at his home. He was born on November 13, 1922 in Framingham, MA to Arnold Augustus and Helen (McCann) Wallace. Arnold was married for 51 years to Stella (Jackson) Wallace she preceded him in death.

Arnold was drafted to the Army in 1943 until 1974. During WWII he was a company chemical mortar battalion attached to the 8th regiment, 4th infantry rose to the rank of Command Sergeant Major, received the purple heart, and was in operation overlord on D-day the invasion of Normandy. During the Korea War he was with headquarters company 8227th Army Unit. He served in the Anti-Aircraft unite and I-Cor artillery headquarters. In the Vietnam war he was with the 1st cavalry division until his retirement in 1974. Arnold was a member at Fairfield Christian Church, the DAV #28, Grotto, and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors are two daughters Tammy A. Wallace-Obin of Nashua, NH and Terri Ann Armstrong of Raymond, NH; three great-granddaughters Paige A. Doda, Aurora and Blossom Armstrong; and his loving companion for the last 17 years Mary Stone. Preceding him in death are his parents Arnold and Helen, wife Stella Wallace, son Terry A. Wallace.

Memorial service will be at 6pm at the Fairfield Christian Church 1476 E. 400 S. Kokomo on Dec.13, 2012 with Masonic services to start and military rites to conclude the services pastor Lynn Coleman officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 pm on Dec. 13. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the DAV #28. Online condolences may be left at www.stoutandson.com.
