Carmelle R. (Hudon) Provencher
Carmelle R. (Hudon) Provencher, 87, of Nashua passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 after a short battle with cancer.
Carmelle was born on August 10, 1926 in St. Pascal, Quebec, Canada a daughter of the late Phillippe and Leona (Bernier) Hudon. Carmelle was the widow of the late Robert Joseph Provencher.
Carmelle was employed by the Bemis Corporation for many years until retirement. Her deep and abiding faith has sustained her throughout her life. She was fortunate to still have many close friends, primarily Mildred Boucher, her lifelong friend for over 70 years. She had her former Bemis employees and Sunday evening card playing group, and her loving Hudon family of which she was the matriarch. Carmelle’s idealism was always guided by her deep faith, strong religious conviction, and love and devotion to her family and friends. Her favorite pastime was reminiscing with her sisters about famous parties and wonderful French Canadian family gatherings! Carmelle is pre-deceased by her only son; Robert P. Provencher.
Carmelle is survived by Two daughters, Denise Quinton and her husband William of Mission Viejo, CA and Diane Perault and her fiance Paul Woods of Merrimack, NH; Seven grandchildren, Lori and Mike Kilander, Wendy and Mike Conn, Jill and Sean Rough, Leah and Allen Bowzard, Amy Coronis and David Thompson, Christopher Perault, Jonathan and Lisa Coronis; Twelve great-grandchildren who have enlightened her life and given so much comfort, joy, and priceless memories; Four sisters, Jacqueline Therrien, Pierette Boucher, Priscilla Chabot, and Mona Lapierre; As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Anctil-Rochette & Son Funeral Home 21 Kinsley Street Nashua NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 777 West Hollis Street Nashua NH 03062 at 11:30 AM. Everyone is invited to meet at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home, Health & Hospice, c/o Development 7 Executive Park Dr., Merrimack, NH 03054.
