Robert Irwin Treen

Robert Irwin Treen, born in Brockton, MA on December 23, 1938 to Karl and Elsie (Irwin) Treen, A long-time resident of Merrimack NH, and Pocasset, MA, passed away peacefully at Community Hospice House on October 1, 2012.

He was 73 years old: a poet, horticulturalist, mechanical engineer and beloved Santa each December at the Depot Farm Stand in Merrimack, NH.

Bob Treen is survived by his wife Carole Boynton Treen of Merrimack, NH, his daughter Cynthia Dianne Treen and her partner Karen Philippi of Providence, RI and his son Karl Edward Treen and his wife Morgan Devlin of Providence, RI. He leaves one grandchild, Ian Willson Treen, son of Karl and Morgan Treen/Devlin and a sister, Nancy Campion, of Marstons Mills, MA.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Milford New Hampshire.
