Nayeli Velez-McCaskey

Dr. Nayeli Velez-McCaskey, D.M.D., D.D.S, 56, died in a tragic accident in Boston on August 14, 2012.

She was born in Mexico City, Mexico on September 10, 1955, a daughter of Maria del Rayo Cabrerra and the late Guillermo Cabrera.

She was the wife of Ricardo Velez-McCaskey.

Dr. Nayeli had her own practice as a pediatric dentist in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Dr. McCaskey graduated from Tufts Dental School where she earned her D.M.D. She received her Master’s degree in Pediatric Dentistry from Boston University. She was awarded the Best Pediatric Doctor in New England. Among her many interests she enjoyed volleyball.

In addition to her husband and her mother, survivors include her sisters, Myriam Cabrera Gutierrez and Azalea Cabrera Gutierrez; and her nephews, Francisco Sandoval Cabrera, Alberto Pavon Cabrera, Myriam Pavon Cabrera and Paola Sandoval Cabrera.

SERVICES: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Kathryn’s Parish, 4 Dracut Rd, Hudson, NH, Saturday (today) at 10:00AM. Funeral services, interment prayers and burial will also take place in Mexico.
