Roland Levesque

Roland Levesque, 81 years old of Nashua, NH died June 24, 2012 peacefully at Southern NH Hospital after years of declining health.

Roland was born on June 27, 1930 in Nashua. The son of the late Alphonse and Marie Louise Levesque.

Roland served in the U.S. Army Infantry Division, 1947-1949, during the Korean War.

He was a lifelong resident of Nashua and worked as Assistant Superintendant of Streets for the Department of Public Works in Nashua where he retired in 1986 after 25 years of service.

Roland enjoyed his role as Santa Claus to his surrogate grandkids during their annual Hugs R Us Christmas Party and watching them play in the pool while he popped them popcorn for snacks.

He was predeceased by his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Pauline, an infant granddaughter, Stephanie King and 13 siblings.

He is survived by his 3 children, his son, William Levesque and his wife Gail of Bedford, NH, two daughters, Lillian King and her husband Neil of Amherst, NH and Theresa Levesque of Nashua, NH; 7 grandsons, Jeffrey King of California, Andy King of Amherst, NH, Joshua Levesque and his wife Tracy of Jaffrey, NH, Jonathan Levesque and his wife Rebecca of Goffstown, NH, Adam Levesque of Bedford, NH, Derrick Dion, stationed in Washington State in the U.S. Army, and his wife Ashleigh, and Roland Dion of Nashua, NH; and 6 great-grandsons.

A private service will be held for the immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, please remember Roland on your next trip to Foxwoods and/or send a donation to the Make a Wish Foundation of NH. Celebrate his birthday Wednesday (27th) by wearing yellow.
