Vera Briggs

Vera Briggs, 81, most recently of Nashua and formerly of Wilton, died at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare on November 2, 2011.

She was born on May 14, 1930 in Nashua, a daughter of the late Burleigh and Delilah (Esque) Briggs II.

Miss Briggs was educated in the Nashua school system.

She is remembered as a loving sister and aunt who enjoyed crafts and gardening.

Miss Briggs was an active member of the Community Chapel in Nashua.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Burleigh Briggs III and Robert Briggs, and her sister, Linda Briggs.

Her family includes her brothers, Albert Briggs of Taunton, Mass., Duane Briggs of Nashua, and Terry Briggs of Cleveland, OH; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Vivian and Lazel Nash of Nashua, Ellen and Charles Newman of Nashua, and Verjean Nolan of Nashua; and several nieces and nephews.

SERVICES: Visiting Hours will be held at the Community Chapel, 5 St. Laurent St., Nashua on Tuesday from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. A Funeral Service in her honor will follow at the Community Chapel at 2:00 PM. Friends are invited to attend. Interment prayers and burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Nashua.
