M. Jean McQuinn Bishop

M. Jean (LeShana) McQuinn Bishop, 83, of Nashua, wife of Joseph Bishop, died Wednesday evening, October 12, 2011 at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua after a brief illness.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 22, 1928, Jean was a daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth (Stafford) LeShana. Mrs. Bishop grew up in Lynn, MA where she attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Class of 1947.

Jean and her 1st husband, John E. McQuinn were married in 1949 and later moved to Nashua in the mid 1960s. Among her interests and hobbies was her love of family, watching old movies and going to casinos. Mrs. Bishop was a communicant of the Parish of the Resurrection in Nashua.

Mrs. Bishop was predeceased by her 1st husband John, who died in September 1981; a grandson, Eugene Basiliere Jr.; a great-grandson John Thomas “JT” McQuinn Jr; and a stepson, Rudolph Ludderman.

Members of her family include her husband Joseph Bishop, whom she married on October 20, 1984; a daughter, Sharon Blekitas and her husband David of Merrimack, NH; three sons, Richard McQuinn and his wife Deborah of Londonderry, NH, Robert McQuinn and his wife Patricia of Salem, NH and Brian McQuinn and his wife Elizabeth of Nashua, NH; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, Howard LeShana and his wife Dorothy of Peabody, MA; a niece Jody Sharkey and her husband Kevin of Peabody, MA; four stepchildren, Deborah Fallansbee and her husband Wayne of Cape Coral, FL, Maureen Russo and her partner Jack of Lowell, MA, John Bishop of Land O’Lakes, FL and Helena Bishop of Lowell, MA; also many cousins.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m. at the FARWELL FUNERAL HOME, 18 Lock Street, Nashua, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Broad Street, Nashua, Monday morning at 9:30 a.m. Friends are invited to attend and will gather at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lynn, MA at a later date. Donations may be made to National Shrine of St. Jude, 205 W. Monroe St., Chicago, Illinois 60606.
