Victoria married George Rae in 1942 and had two sons, George Richard Rae (now deceased) and Robert Burns Rae. In 1966 she moved back to the family farm in Nashua, where she resided until her death.

Victoria was best known by family and friends as “Pepper,” earned from her contagious energy and optimism which were evident to all who met her. Pepper remained in good physical and spiritual health throughout her later years. She never lost her generous soul and always exhibited her unwavering love and affection for others. It was that commitment to always find the good in people, that allowed strangers to easily conncect with her on a deeper level. Many sought Victoria’s comfort and guidance from her sanctuary of her kitchen where the door was always open. Besides her love and mastery of Scrabble, Pepper enjoyed croquet, card games and was a genuinely interested conversationalist who truly listened and cared. Above all, Victoria was a wonderful person who held so many unique qualities.
