George A. Overton Jr.

Merrimack, NH – George A. Overton Jr., 69, died at his home on Thursday, August 25, 2011.

George was born April 8, 1942, in Woburn, MA, the son of the late George and Bernice (Hudson) Overton Sr. He graduated from Woburn High School, class of 60 and lived in Billerica, MA, before moving to Merrimack 26 years ago.

George was the owner of BOW Appliance Repair in Pelham, NH. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening.

George is survived by his wife of 29 years, Betty-Jo (Salvail) Overton, of Merrimack; 3 sons, Stephen Overton of VA, George Overton III and his girlfriend, Christina Collins, of Merrimack, Ron Salvail and his wife Kim of OH; 2 daughters, Diane Murray, of SC and Donna Wray of VA; 2 brothers Richard and Robert Overton, both of MA and a sister Laura Champa also of MA; 5 grandchildren, Julie, David, Donna, Michael, Jacqueline; and 3 great-grandchildren.

George was predeceased by a daughter, Susan Marie Overton who died in 2009.

A Private Service will be held.
