Sheila Lazzaro

Sheila Lazzaro, 69, of Merrimack, NH died Monday Oct. 4, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH after a sudden illness.

She was born in Norwalk, CT on Nov. 26, 1940, a daughter of the late Ward and Edith Kemp.

Mrs. Lazzaro was a graduate of Univ. of Conn., with her Registered Nurse Degree. After moving to Merrimack she was employed with Home Health & Hospice in Merrimack, and had retired in 2008 from the Dept. of Health & Human Services for the State of NH.

She was a longtime active member of St. James United Methodist Church in Merrimack. She was a member of the United Methodist Women’s, the church choir, and also was a pianist for the church.

Mrs. Lazzaro was also a member of the Merrimack Concert Assoc. Chorus, and she also loved traveling and her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Anthony P. Lazzaro who died in 1988 and a sister Audrey Kemp.

Members of her family include a daughter Linda Amaral of New Haven, CT, three sons, and daughters-in-law, Michael & Jill Lazzaro of Temple, NH, Kevin & Shannon Lazzaro of Nashua, NH and Anthony & Christina Lazzaro of Hooksett, NH, a son-in-law, David Amaral of Glastonbury, CT, seven grandchildren, Samantha, Nathan, Victoria Amaral, Morgan, Anthony, Zoey, Rocco Lazzaro, an aunt, Jean Gilligan of Windam, CT, three cousins Noreen Piscatelli, and Patricia Mendenhall both of Connecticut, and Sean Gilligan of North Carolina.

Calling hours are in the George R. Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack, NH Thursday from 5-8 PM. Funeral service will be held in St. James United Methodist Church, 646 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack Friday at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack.
