John F. Frazer III

John F. Frazer, III, 91, of Bedford, NH and formerly of Lexington, MA, died Sunday, May 23, 2010, at the Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester, NH.

Mr. Frazer was born in Baltimore, MD, June 27, 1918, the son of the late John F. and Eva R. (Allen) Frazer, II. Mr. Frazer was a resident of Manchester/Bedford area since 2002. Prior to this, he lived in Lexington, MA for 48 years. Mr. Frazer was a graduate of Princeton University, with a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

He was a lieutenant in the United States Army, and served during World War II.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Frazer was employed as an electrical engineer and worked for Panametrics.

He enjoyed gardening, doing crossword puzzles, and playing the piano. Mr. Frazer was a licensed Ham Radio Operator.

Members of his family, include; three daughters, Linda-Jo Pettingell, and her husband Justin, of Milford, NH; Jane Frazer Brown and her husband, Otis of Otisfield, ME; Ruth Ellen Kouches and her husband Stan, of Keizer, Oregon; 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Frazer, of Baltimore, MD, Jane Prince Isaacs, of Baltimore, MD, Meme Granger, of Altamont, NY; nieces and nephews. Mr. Frazer was predeceased by his wife, Audrey (Worthington) Frazer, who died in August 2006.

SERVICES: Calling hours will be Thursday, May 27, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover Street, corner of Union Street, in Manchester. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28, 10:00 AM, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, in Manchester.
