NORWALK, Conn. (AP) — Norwalk police on Saturday reminded the public of a $50,000 reward as they continue efforts to solve the 2006 killing of Laray “Mookie” Moore.

Moore, 31, was shot to death in front of an estimated 100 witnesses at the Roodner Court Public Housing Complex on June 29, 2006, but no one has come forward with any information, The Hour newspaper reported. He was shot multiple times while sitting in a car with his 15-month-old son, who wasn’t hurt.

Police believe no witnesses have come forward because of a “no snitch” mentality in the neighborhood.

The reward is for information leading to arrests and convictions in the case. Witnesses are urged to call Norwalk police.
