Vermont Democrats launch new digital ads in support of vote-by-mail

By Staff | May 8, 2020

BURLINGTON, VT – following Governor Phil Scott’s reported resistance to expanding Vermont’s mail-in voting program, the Vermont Democratic Party has launched a series of digital ads aimed at mobilizing voters around the issue. These digital ads are part of an ongoing five-figure digital ad campaign.

“The safety and security of voters should not be a partisan issue, yet Vermont’s Republican Governor is resisting a plan to expand the state’s Vote-By-Mail program,” said party spokesperson R. Christopher Di Mezzo. “Scott’s hesitance to embrace voter safety measures and expand voting access too closely mirrors the position of GOP governors, senators, and even President Trump when it comes to ballot access. This much is clear: if you’re in conflict with Secretary of State Jim Condos when it comes to voter safety and security, you’re almost certainly in the wrong.”
