YMCA of Greater Nashua welcomes Matt Haight as new association sports director

The YMCA of Greater Nashua is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt Haight as its new Association Sports Director, bringing a dynamic blend of leadership, experience, and passion for youth development and community sports.
A familiar face to many within the YMCA family, Matt returns to the organization with an impressive track record in sports management and youth programming. A graduate of Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management, Matt most recently served as Assistant Head of Land Sports at Camp Tevya in Brookline, NH. He also held a multi-faceted role at Hollis Brookline High School as a paraprofessional, substitute teacher, and boys’ basketball coach for all levels–freshman through varsity.
Matt’s roots at the YMCA run deep. From 2016 to 2020, he served in multiple leadership roles across the YMCA of Greater Nashua, including Sports Coordinator, Assistant Sports Camp Director, and Camp Spaulding Boys Unit Director. His experience managing year-round youth and adult leagues, clinics, tournaments, and summer camps across the association has shaped a mission-driven approach that aligns perfectly with the Y’s core values.
“Matt brings energy, heart, and strategic vision to our sports programs,” says Tiffany Joslin, Senior Program Director of Youth Development at the Y. “His ability to lead staff, connect with participants, and create experiences rooted in character development and teamwork will be a tremendous asset as we grow our impact.”
In his new role, Matt will oversee the Y’s extensive sports and recreation programming, including youth basketball and flag football leagues, adult and youth sports programs and classes, summer sports camps, NinjaZone programming and more. The YMCA of Greater Nashua’s sports offerings are designed not only to promote physical health, but also to build confidence, teamwork, and community through structured play and supportive coaching.
“I’m excited to be back at the Y, where the focus isn’t just on competition–but on connection and character,” said Haight. “Sports are a powerful tool for teaching life lessons, and I look forward to helping participants of all ages grow stronger in mind, body, and spirit.”
