NASHUA – Gunfire rang out in the predawn hours of Oct. 29 as two individuals were reportedly shot and wounded in the Denny’s parking lot at 34 Gusabel Ave.

According to police, first responders arrived at the scene at 2:30 a.m. and began treating the two male victims, whose identities have not been released. One of the victims reportedly fell and hit his head after being shot. Both men were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Denny’s parking lot was sealed off with crime scene tape and the restaurant was closed for several hours.

The preliminary investigation suggests that the shooting may have resulted from an incident that took place earlier inside the restaurant.

Police also found two vehicles that may be connected to the shooting: an Acura with New Hampshire license plates and a Jeep with Vermont license plates. A K-9 was brought in to search the Acura.

Denny’s was cleared to reopen Sunday afternoon. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
