NASHUA – Emergency crews responded to 546 Amherst St. on the evening of Sept. 22 after receiving a report that a sports utility vehicle had crashed into a building.

Upon arrival at 11 p.m., first responders discovered a Ford Bronco, which had gone off the road, jumped three steps and crashed through a wall before coming to a stop. The building, formerly owned by Southern New Hampshire University, is the site of a new restaurant and is being redeveloped.

Authorities said the young female driver, whose identity has not been released, was able to get herself out of the vehicle. Aside from being emotionally upset, she was not injured in the collision.

Crews were able to tow the Bronco from the scene.

It is not clear what caused the crash and no charges have been filed at this time.
