NASHUA – Billy Fee also known as Fee the Evolutionist has been nominated for a 2023 New England Music Award in the Hip Hop Act of the Year category. This is the second nomination of his career and his first nomination in this category. Last year, the Nashua native took home the 2022 New England Music Award in the New Hampshire: Rising Star category; he was also a featured performer for the event.
The New England Music Awards are presented every year to musicians who call New England their home and whose dedication, spirit, and achievements over the last year have without a doubt established them as a contributing force to the most robust and diverse music scene in the country.
Every year, NEMA nominates more than 100 artists spanning a number of categories and genres of popular music in New England. The NEMA Nomination Committee then selects a winner in each of the award categories.
With a flow reminiscent of the golden era, Fee blends familiar soul samples & classic hip hop over fresh, original rhymes. Fee’s music is all about good vibes, conscious rhymes, and crowd participation.
“Win or lose, I’m looking forward to a fantastic night of talented musicians from every genre gathered in one room.” Fee said. “I appreciate being included and it feels great to be recognized for all the hard work.”
The future looks promising for Fee with a live recording project in the works and performances planned throughout New England.
