HOLLIS – The Greater Merrimack Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce will gather at Alpine Grove on Sept. 27 to honor 300 southern New Hampshire businesses who have proven themselves as the region’s best in their given industry.

Chamber President and CEO Liz Calabria said ballots are sent out to the public every August. Customers and other business owners then choose the best businesses for 150 categories. The categories run the gamut from the best bank to the best septic service. Calabria said the top two businesses from each category are recognized at the Best of Region Awards ceremony.

She said 300 businesses will be recognized at this year’s ceremony, 100 of them are in Nashua.

Calabria said this is the 18th year that the Chamber has been hosting the event. During that time, she said the list of categories has expanded and is much more specific now.
