CONCORD – The New Hampshire Lottery is projecting the Powerball jackpot will rise to $500 million for Saturday night’s (9/9) drawing. The one-time cash payout is expected to be $242.4 million. (Estimated jackpot amounts are determined before taxes are withheld.)

“The excitement has begun for our New Hampshire players with the chance to win half-a-billion dollars,” said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. “Players are jumping at the opportunity to become the Granite State’s next millionaire and we anticipate an increase in ticket sales right up until the drawing Saturday night!”

One lucky player purchased a $150,000 winning Powerball ticket for the drawing on Wednesday night (9/6) at the Rapid Refill on Peach Tree Lane in Merrimack.

The Powerball drawing results from Wednesday, September 6, were: 09-14-20-23-63 PB-1 with a Power Play of 3.

The $500 million Powerball jackpot has been growing since July 19, when a lucky California player purchased a $1 billion jackpot winning ticket. Wednesday night’s (9/6) drawing marked the 21st consecutive Powerball drawing without a winner.

Powerball drawings are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 PM.

Tickets are on sale at more than 1,400 retailers statewide and online at NH iLottery. For more information and to play, visit www.nhlottery.com.
