NASHVILLE — An active shooter event at a private Catholic elementary school affiliated with the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Nashville has left “multiple patients” injured — and, according to the latest reports, three children and three adults dead.

The children were students at the K-6 school, officials said.

The shooter, described as a young female, was “engaged by police” and is deceased, officials said.

Multiple news agencies, including CNN and other national news outlets, along with Nashville area outlets, are providing continuing coverage.
