Festival sold out, but online auction is wide open

By Dean Shalhoup - Senior Staff Writer | Mar 25, 2023

NASHUA – As is typical, the Front Door Agency’s annual Gourmet Festival & Auction has sold out well in advance, but there will be plenty of opportunity to take part in the online

auction, bidding for which opens at noon on Monday, April 3.

Organizers have started a waiting list for anyone who would like to add their name, just in case any tickets become available. To get on the list, contact the Front Door at 886-2866.

The online auction, meanwhile, opens at noon on April 3 and closes at noon on Saturday, April 8.

More information will be added to the agency’s website as it becomes available.

A link to the online auction will be available soon, according to Sheree Sevigny, the agency’s corporate relations and special events manager.

Sevigny said the list of participating restaurants is currently being finalized, as are the items for the live auction.

Veteran auctioneer John Terrio returns again this year to run the live auction.

Founded as the Nashua Pastoral Care Center in 1987, the agency became the Front Door Agency on its 25th anniversary.

Over the years, the agency has assisted an estimated 80,000 individuals, most all of them single women and children, emerge from crisis situations and guide them on a path to self-sufficiency.

Funds raised by the Gourmet Festival & Auction make up a significant part of Front Door’s operating budget, which includes covering the costs of programs designed to help young

mothers and their children who are facing homelessness to realize longterm solutions, according to the agency.
