Nashua, Hudson police round up 7 suspects wanted on various charges

NASHUA — A recent Operation Granite Shield initiative conducted by Hudson police and Nashua’s Narcotics Intelligence Division and Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit effected the arrests of seven men on a variety of charges.

Police said the suspects are charged with “various drug crimes and crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior,” and other assorted crimes.

Those arrested, their charges and current status of their cases follow.

* Eric Higgins, 35, of 23 Evergreen St., Chelmsford, Massachusetts. Charged with possession of a controlled drug (Buprenorphine/Naloxone), Class B felony; possession of a controlled drug (Amphetamine and Dextroamphetamine), Class B felony; and was served a warrant for his arrest for simple assault, Class A misdemeanor, issued by Hampton police. Higgins was transferred to the Hampton Police Department for further processing.

* Joseph King, 30, of 23 Temple St., Apt. 11, Nashua. Charged with possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine) subsequent offense, Class A felony; and served an arrest warrant for fugitive from justice out of Cambridge, Massachusetts — original charge, armed robbery. King was transferred to Valley Street jail.

* Nearro Forbes, 38, of 23 Temple St., Apt. 220, Nashua. Charged with theft, Class A misdemeanor. Forbes was released on personal recognizance bail pending his future arraignment in Nashua district court.

* Randy Widmer, 36, of 14 Auburn St., Nashua. Charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin/fentanyl), Class B felony; and was served an electronic bench warrant for non-payment of fines. Widmer was released on personal recognizance bailpending his future arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

* Richard Higgins, 37, of 87 Chestnut St., Nashua. Served an electronic bench warrant for theft, Class A misdemeanor. He was released on personal recognizance bail pending his future arraignment at Nashua district court.

* James Trebby, 37, of 9 Shelley Drive, Apt. A, Hudson. Charged with one count each of stalking, criminal threatening, obstruction of government administration, and breach of bail conditions, all Class A misdemeanors. Trebby refused bail and was transferred to Valley Street jail.

* Robert Johansen, 39, of 9 Shelley Drive, Apt. A, Hudson. Charged with one count of possession of a controlled drug (Trenbolone); and three counts of felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, all Class B felonies. Johansen was released on personal recognizance bail pending his future arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
