NASHUA — Police are ramping up their investigation into the Thanksgiving Eve hit-and-run collision that sent three pedestrians to the hospital suffering from a variety of injuries that police described as serious, but not life-threatening.
Lt. Joshua Albert said in a brief statement issued Monday that police are searching for an older-model, dark-colored Toyota Rav4 in connection with the incident. They believe the vehicle’s model year is between 2006-12, Albert said.
The collision occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. The injured individuals, Albert said, were in the crosswalk that spans Main Street from 100 Main on the east side to 113 Main on the west side of Main Street.
Police, firefighters and AMR crews arrived to find three people, whose names, ages and genders were not provided, in the street with multiple injuries.
Albert said the driver of the suspect vehicle did not stop, and the vehicle that is believed to be the Rav4 was last seen turning from Main Street onto West Pearl Street, which is about a block and a half south of the crosswalk where the incident took place.
Albert said police are urging anyone who may have information that could help investigators locate the suspect or a vehicle matching the description to contact Detective Corey Gobbi at 594-3500, or call the department’s Crime Line at 589-1665.
