Allegations he possessed child pornography images land Amherst man under arrest and in jail
AMHERST — A lengthy investigation by Amherst police detectives and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has led to the arrest of 57-year-old Amherst resident Ralph Fabrizio, and authorities say it’s likely that additional charges will be filed against Fabrizio.
At this time, Fabrizio, of 453 Boston Post Road, is facing one count of possession of child sex abuse images, a Class A felony, according to police. They said officers and Task Force members took Fabrizio into custody last Wednesday.
He was booked on the charge then transported to Valley Street jail in Manchester to await arraignment, which took place Friday in Hillsborough County Superior Court North.
Fabrizio was ordered held on preventive detention as his case proceeds in court.
The date of his next scheduled hearing hasn’t been set.
