NASHUA — Police from multiple jurisdictions ended a multi-town manhunt for the man believed to have shot and killed two people in Lyndeborough this morning when they took a man into custody at gunpoint on Auburn Street in Nashua.
The manhunt was launched earlier this morning when a shooting was reported in Brookline near the corner of Route 13 and Townsend Hill Road. Unconfirmed reports state the person shot was fatally injured.
A short time later, Lyndeborough and state police were called to a residence in Lyndeborough, where they found one, or possibly two, people dead of gunshot wounds.
Details are few at this time, but the office of Attorney General John Formella issued a brief statement at mid-morning confirming that state and local officials responded to Lyndeborough in connection with “two suspicious deaths in that area,” which could indicate one fatality in Brookline and another in Lyndeborough.
