HUDSON — Anyone in the Hudson area interested in getting on the list to have Hudson Fish and Game Club volunteers deliver Thanksgiving dinner to them must pre-register with the club by Sunday.

To register, email thanksgiving@hudsonfishandgame.com or call 603-606-8911 and leave a message.

Dinners will be delivered between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.

Delivery is available to residents of Hudson, Nashua, Pelham, Litchfield and northern Tyngsborough.

Each dinner will include hot turkey with side dishes and dessert.

Steeped in tradition and longevity, the project, named the Gil Knox Thanksgiving Day Dinner in honor of its late founder and longtime club member, began more than 30 years ago, when Knox stopped by the clubhouse early one Thanksgiving morning and found three men who didn’t have anywhere to go for dinner.

So he called his wife, Karen, to ask if there was room for three more place settings at their dining room table.

Thus was born the tradition that grew into the large-scale prep, packaging and delivery operation that it is today.
