Police add another investigation, another standoff and four more arrests to the long list of calls to 6 Mountain View St.

NASHUA — For police to be called to certain addresses more than once, or even several times within a given period, isn’t all that unusual, especially when the calls involve offenses such as drug possession or sales or physical violence.

But when it comes to one particular address, that of a house that sits along an otherwise quiet residential street in the midst of an otherwise quiet neighborhood — which happens to border Rivier University — “unusual” doesn’t begin to describe its history.

In the past four years, according to Nashua police, a combination of patrol officers, detectives, SWAT team members, narcotics agents and even the occasional crisis negotiation expert have responded to 6 Mountain View St. an astounding 57 times.

Collectively, police arrested roughly 25 men and women at the house over that time span, many of whom, police said, were repeat offenders.

“The residence has been the target of large-scale drug investigations, both locally and federally,” police said in a statement. It’s also been the scene of “numerous property crime investigations,” and, not surprisingly, “several ongoing, quality of life issues for the neighborhood.”

Ashley Reeves, 30, of 6 Mountain View St., Nashua

The most recent incident at 6 Mountain View began around 11 p.m. Sunday, when police answered a call for an undesirable individual at “an address in a neighborhood just south of downtown Nashua,” according to police.

Responding officers recovered several stolen firearms from the area, police said, prompting the notification of detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division.

The subsequent investigation developed a suspect by the name of Christopher Yniguez, a 29-year-old Nashua resident, for whom detectives issued an arrest warrant.

Police said that it was decided, “due to the nature of the crime, and the location at which Yniguez was believed to be” — 6 Mountain View St. — to assign the SWAT team to bring Yniguez in.

A standoff developed at some point after the team’s arrival, police said. It lasted about three hours, at which time Yniguez surrendered and was taken into custody.

He was charged with one count of receiving stolen property — a firearm — a Class A felony. Police said as the investigation proceeds, more charges were expected to be filed by the time of Yniguez’s arraignment, which was scheduled for today in Superior Court.

In addition to taking Yniguez into custody, SWAT team members also located three other individuals in the house, and determined that all of them had open warrants pending.

Two of them — Patrick Roche, 25, and Ashley Reeves, 30 — are listed as residents of 6 Mountain View. They were each charged with failing to appear in court while out on bail, police said.

Also arrested was Scott Campbell, 29, of no fixed address. He was charged with violating the terms of his probation by allegedly committing a felony, police said.

Police urge anyone who may have more information about the incident to contact the department at 594-3500 or call the Crime Line at 589-1665.
