Nashua man, subject of 16-month investigation, arrested on alleged drug sales, outstanding warrants offenses
Eric McNeil, age 41, 8 Morgan Street, Nashua
NASHUA — Members of the police department’s Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Unit over the weekend took into custody Eric McNeil, a 41-year-old Nashua resident who had been under investigation for the better part of 16 months in connection with alleged sales of narcotic drugs, according to police.
McNeil, of 8 Morgan St., was charged with one count of sale of a controlled drug — crack cocaine — which is classified as a special felony, police said.
At the time of his arrest, officers also charged McNeil on three outstanding warrants, two of them capias warrants issued by Hillsborough County Superior Court North for non-appearance in court, and one an Electronic Bench Warrant (EBW) out of Nashua district court, also for non-appearance in court, according to police.
The investigation that led to McNeil’s arrest was launched in July 2021 by members of the department’s Narcotics Intelligence Division, based on information detectives developed that accuse McNeil of involvement in the sales of narcotics.
McNeil waived arraignment on the charges, and was ordered held pending his next court appearance, which is a dispositional conference scheduled for Jan. 6.
In three other cases filed in Superior Court in 2021 — one in Hillsborough South, the other two in Hillsborough North — two of them remain pending, according to McNeil’s case files.
One stems from McNeil’s arrest in Nashua in June 2021, when he was charged with one count each of possessing and selling narcotics. A status conference is scheduled for Jan. 6, the same day as the dispositional conference on the earlier charges.
The other pending case is in Hillsborough North, and stems from McNeil’s arrest in August 2021 on two counts of drug-related acts prohibited. The case file shows a bail hearing is scheduled for today in that case.
In the third case, two charges of drug-related acts prohibited were dismissed without prejudice in December 2021.
