‘Petal-ing’ It Forward
(Telegraph photo by DEAN SHALHOUP) Amber Morgan, right, an associate at Fortin Gage Flowers & Gifts, coordinates the distribution of floral bouquets to be delivered to people at random locations in the downtown area as part of Wednesday's 7th annual Petal It Forward event. Taking part are, from left, Fortin Gage owner Jodie Gage, Kameo Chasse, a volunteer at Southern New Hampshire Health; Betsy Houde, SNHH director of community engagement, and Mayor Jim Donchess. The intent of the program, which was created by the Society of American Florists, is to brighten unsuspecting people's day by giving them two arrangements, one to keep and one to give to someone else.
