NASHUA — Police are calling on the public for assistance in locating Angel F. Ramirez, 65, of 29 Eleventh St., Apt. 0, whom detectives arrested in late August on a special felony charge of aggravated felonious sexual assault — domestic violence.

According to Ramirez’s case summary filed in court, police arrested him the afternoon of Aug. 29, about eight months after they received a report accusing Ramirez of engaging in a pattern of sexual assaults against a juvenile female who is known to him, police said.

At some point after the investigation was launched, police said Ramirez left the country, which accounts for the lengthy span of time between the report being received and his Aug. 29 arrest.

Ramirez was booked on the charge, at which time bail was set at $3,000 cash, which someone posted on his behalf, resulting in Ramirez being released from jail.

Meanwhile, Ramirez’s case summary lists the charge as aggravated felonious sexual assault (pattern) — domestic violence, which accuses him of committing the alleged assaults between Jan. 1, 2019 and Aug. 30, the day after his arrest.

The case summary also shows Ramirez is scheduled to be arraigned on the charge on Sept. 29 in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.

It’s not clear whether there are actually two separate charges, given that their wording differs slightly.

Either way, police are appealing to the public to report any possible sightings of Ramirez, or to provide any information that may lead to his whereabouts.

They say Ramirez is “known to frequent places in Nashua as well as Manchester.” He is described as 65 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches, about 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
