Hidden camera found in Nashua Tutti Frutti yogurt store; owner arrested
Chanphanou (Sab) Pou, age 42, of 34 Speare Road, Apt. A, Hudson
NASHUA — Police are asking anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or has any information regarding possible suspicious activity in any Tutti Frutti frozen yogurt store — especially in the bathrooms — to contact the department at 594-3500 or call its Crime Line at 589-1665.
The request follows the arrest Wednesday of Hudson resident Chanphanou (Sab) Pou, the franchisee of the Nashua Tutti Frutti store in the Pheasant Lane Mall, who stands accused of “purposefully concealing a hidden recording device within the store’s bathroom,” according to police.
Pou, 42, of 34 Speare Road, Apt. A in Hudson, is charged with three counts of violation of privacy, which are Class A misdemeanors. He was booked following his arrest and later released on $500 cash bail pending arraignment, which is scheduled for Oct. 3 in Nashua district court.
Police indicated Pou is the owner of “multiple Tutti Frutti locations” in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. They didn’t specify any cities or towns, but did say that Pou is not the owner of the franchise for the store at the Mall of New Hampshire in Manchester.
It’s unknown if Pou owns either of New Hampshire’s other two stores, which are in the Mall at Rockingham Park in Salem and the Mall at Fox Run in Newington.
It’s also unknown if he currently owns any stores in Massachusetts, or if he does, where they are located.
The investigation began July 23, police said, when uniformed officers were called to the Pheasant Lane Mall store after someone apparently discovered what police describe as “a hidden recording device” in a store bathroom.
Detectives eventually issued a warrant for Pou’s arrest, on which they took him into custody Wednesday.
