Nearly 5-month investigation into sexual assault report yields arrest of Nashua suspect
Austin Westcott, 26, of 1 Woodbury Drive, Nashua
NASHUA — Police said that an arrest has been made in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving an unidentified woman that allegedly occurred in late March.
Charged with one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault, a special felony, was Austin Westcott, 26, of 1 Woodbury Drive, according to police.
He was booked on the charge and later released on $300 cash bail pending arraignment, which is scheduled for Sept. 29 in Hillsborough County Superior Court South.
Westcott’s arrest comes nearly five months after the alleged victim, who police said knows Westcott, accused him of sexually assaulting her at his residence.
Detectives with the Special Investigations Division took up the investigation, and collected information that led to Westcott as the alleged perpetrator, police said.
Investigators drew up a warrant for Westcott’s arrest, on which they located him and took him into custody last week.
