Registration ongoing for most city-sponsored fall sports programs; biddy basketball on the horizon
NASHUA — The registration periods for hockey camp and tennis lessons have ended, but several other fall sports programs continue signing up participants ahead of the Aug. 31 deadline, according to city Parks & Recreation Department spokesman Jeff DiSalvo.
Among them are the fall Babe Ruth baseball and softball leagues, whose teams compete in a league against teams from other towns in the area.
The sign-up fee is just $20 for both baseball and softball. Boys ages 13-15, with a May 1, 2023 cutoff, are eligible to sign up for baseball, while girls ages 7-14 can sign up for softball. Players can register through Aug. 31.
For more details and sign-up information, go to nashua.recdesk.com/community/program.
Spots are also still open for both Archery Clinic 1 and Archery Clinic 2. Each program consists of four sessions, held each Tuesday evening beginning Sept. 13.
And with the approach of fall, organizers are looking ahead to the 2022-23 Biddy League basketball season, registration for which opens Tuesday, Sept. 6.
Boys and girls ages 7-15 are eligible to participate. The sign-up fee is $20 per player.
