Accused of physical, sexual assault, Hudson man in jail pending arraignment
Marc Bain, age 54, of Hudson
NASHUA — Hudson resident Marc M. Bain, of 33 Sheffield St., was taken into custody over the weekend by Nashua police, who charged him with four felony offenses and one misdemeanor stemming from allegations he physically and sexually assaulted a woman at an undisclosed location in Nashua.
The woman, who police said knows Bain, told investigating officers that he allegedly physically assaulted her during an argument. She also accused Bain of sexually assaulting her later that same day at the same location, police said.
Based on the allegations, police applied for, and were granted, a warrant for Bain’s arrest on one felony count of domestic violence-related second-degree assault — strangulation.
After taking Bain into custody on the warrant, police said they additionally charged him with three counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault — domestic violence, and the single Class A misdemeanor count of domestic violence — simple assault.
Bain was booked on the charges and held in jail on preventive detention pending arraignment, which was initially scheduled to take place Monday.
Whether the hearing was held, or Bain waived formal arraignment, wasn’t immediately known, nor was his current bail status.
Police ask anyone who may have further information on the alleged incidents to contact the department’s Crime Line at 589-1665.
